Bryan Wood
- Brian joined the Moorabinda Croquet Club in 1975 when it was located at Samson Road after originally playing in Busselton.
- At the time, Moorabinda was strictly a women’s club but he was allowed to join as an Associate Member.
- When Moorabinda moved to Hay Park in 1980, his handyman skills were put to great use.
- He made all the dividing fences, garden seats and tool boxes. Bryan was also instrumental in surrounding all 6 courts with rubber belting to protect the balls.
- He was Secretary from 1982 to 1984, and during this period Moorabinda received significant damage from a cyclone.
- Some of the sheds and much of the top soil was blown over the fence into Hay Park.
- Bryan worked hard and long to persuade the insurance company to pay the considerable drainage bill.
- An accredited coach, he also helped many new members in his bluff school teacher manner.
- Bryan was Club Singles Champion in 1982, a member of the victorious Country Week team and B Grade Champion of the same tournament.
